Crock Pot Recipes
So if everyone loves crock pots - what are your favorite recipes? Please share!
Spray the bottom of the crock pot with Pam, place pork sirloin roast (sold a costco in packages of 3) in pot. Cover with one of the sauces listed below. Reserve about 1/2 cup of sauce. Cook on high for 1 hour then turn down to low for 4-5 hours. Remove meat, drain excess liquid if needed and shred by pulling pork with 2 forks. Place the shredded meat back in the crockpot with a little more sauce while you prepare the rest of the meal.
Mild Green Chile Burros: Goldwater's Rio Verde Tomatillo Salsa (or any salsa of your choice) Serve wrapped in a tortilla.
BBQ Pork: Use your favorite BBQ sauce (we like Sweet Baby Ray's) serve on a hamburger bun.
Sweet and Sour Pork: Use bottled sweet and sour sauce or 1/3 cup soy sauce, 2 tbs. vinegar, 2 tbs. brown sugar. Optional: onions, peppers and pineapple chunks. Serve over rice. Cut meat into chunks instead of shredding.
Italian beef 1 beef roast, a dab of olive oil, some water, half of a jar (juice and peppers) of Pepperocini peppers and one envelope of Italian dressing seasoning. Cook at least eight hours. Pull apart and serve on hogies. The juicier the better. Yummy!
